Pieces of my heART
Though I have always been a very private person, as my experiences change and my growth propels me forward, I find myself becoming more willing to share bits and pieces of myself. So I’ve decided to periodically display my heART in stages. Periodically share my process a little, to include reference images, in progress and final pieces. A glimpse of where I start and where my vision takes me.

Natural Embrace
Nine years ago this month I turned my back on the creamy crack. Before it became the thing to do, before it became so popular, I decided to bring the healthy back to my tresses. At the time I was growing my hair out from my “Halle Berry do” (yes I have chopped it all off multiple times lol). I get bored very easily, so I like to switch it up and will go from straight to curly, light to dark, long to short without a thought.
I wasn’t always so happy with my bird’s nest/my gift and my curse, which I’ve been know to call it over the years. At times I had no clue what to do with it. Hence my nickname “pony tail queen”. Oh but I will rock the hell out of a pony tail lol. But I learned my curls and gave every little knot and spiral some TLC. Almost a decade later I am still embracing what’s naturally me!
